How Much Does Gong Actually Cost?

Gong doesn’t disclose its pricing structure publicly—it offers a customized quote based on your team’s unique requirements. Licenses are priced on a per-user basis, and there is a platform fee based on the number of users supported within your organization.

To get an accurate quote, you have to share your team size and the areas you need help with the tool (e.g. prospecting, sales rep efficiency, deal management, etc.), and you’ll receive a custom proposal.

My team and I scoured through the corners of the internet to find out how much Gong actually costs. We’ve heard from Gong customers and public reviews that Gong pricing has three parts:

  • A platform fee
  • A per user annual subscription fee
  • Professional services fee

According to our research, Gong has a base price (a.k.a. platform fee) of $5000/year, and it costs around $1400/year per user. However, the per user price can vary depending on your team size.  It also has a professional services fee of $7500 for customer support and training.

First, let’s talk about the platform fee. Whether yours is a small team or an enterprise, this $5000 fee applies to everyone. It covers:

  • Unlimited collaborators
  • Initial integration
  • Unlimited data storage
  • Training for managers/employees
  • Unlimited data export (open API, Salesforce)
  • Training for managers/employees
  • Customer success manager
  • Web support
  • Access to Gong Academy knowledge portal

Apart from these, you can also integrate your existing tech stack to Gong without any extra charges. Gong does offer a lot of benefits against the annual platform fee, but the amount still feels too steep, more so for small businesses with a limited workforce.

The per user Gong pricing structure looks like this:

Gong is generally a better fit for large sales teams that need a comprehensive tool for analyzing sales conversations, deal intelligence, and sales coaching.

With more users, you can often secure better pricing and even qualify for discounts. As the platform fee applies to all companies regardless of team size, you’ll still need to cover that cost even if you’re a small team with just three sales reps—which may not be financially viable if you’re operating on a tight budget.

Let’s understand the pricing structure better with an example.

Let’s assume you have 10 users.

This is how much you’ll pay for Gong:

  • Platform subscription fee: $5,000
  • Per user subscription: $1,600 (per user cost) x 10 (number of users) = $16,000
  • Additional cost: $7500
  • Total cost: $5,000 + $16,000 + $7500 = $28,500

Safe to say, Gong’s annual prices can easily reach six figures for larger teams.

If you’re interested to learn exactly how much it’ll cost for your company to use Gong's revenue intelligence platform, you must contact their sales team for a custom quote.

It’s a nice perk that Gong gives you a customized quote based on your business needs, but there are a few downsides as well.

❌ No free trial, so you can’t try the tool unless you pay for it

❌ No publicly available pricing structure, which means you can’t just sign up and start using the tool right away—you’ll need to invest time in meeting with their sales team to get a quote

❌ Hefty platform fee and per user fee make Gong less affordable for smaller businesses

❌ Meeting transcripts are not always accurate

❌ When you try to retrieve an old call from the repository by searching with keywords, the search function isn’t always reliable

❌ Steep learning curve limits quick adoption

❌ Gong works well for your sales team, but it may not support the meeting intelligence needs of non-sales teams

Here’s what Jamie’s real-life users are saying:

“After researching and downloading different tools to generate meeting summaries, I decided to keep only this one. Why? Because it can actually transcribe, summarize, and detect action items with way more accuracy than the rest. I actually used 3 different tools during the same meeting, just to test them, and Jamie was the only one that got the details right. Now, my entire team is using Jamie.” - Abi P.

"One of the things that really stands out to me about Jamie is how it doesn't rely on bots joining my calls. Given how frequently I switch between different meeting platforms, Jamie's ability to seamlessly work without any plugins is a major plus. It's fantastic to know that even during in-person client meetings, Jamie is there to assist. But what truly blows me away are the topic-based meeting notes. They're not just notes; they're a complete game-changer in how I organize and retrieve information from my meetings.” - Gourav K.
