Meet Sadra Hosseini, the founder and CEO of the London-based payment platform, Ryft. He was introduced to Jamie through his sales team.

In our interview with him, we personally understood his pain points—he was constantly in back-to-back meetings and he also had (like most of us) a terrible memory.

And in this case study, he is going to reveal how Jamie helped him overcome these obstacles. And the results are really impressive. He saves about 80 minutes per day, which amounts to 8 hours a week (that's like a free Friday).

Let's get into the full case study!

The Problem

Sadra had a problem, one that I hear a lot. He wanted to remember what happened in the meeting and what he had to do after that. He would take notes (as we all do), but things would escape him within minutes. This would frustrate him, and he was wasting a lot of time doing it manually.

The Solution

Jamie pretty much became Sadra's personal meeting assistant, taking notes automatically and managing all the follow-up tasks. The best part is that it captured everything during calls and didn't interrupt Sadra or his attendees. Once the meeting was over, he would get his action items perfectly.

The Results

  • Time saved: 10 minutes saved per meeting, which translates to 1.5 hours per day (which is huge!)
  • Increased efficiency: No more relying on that faulty memory thing we all have
  • Team adoption: What started as Sadra's personal tool became one that the whole company uses (because when something works this well, you want to share it!)

Challenges

"I've got the worst memory you can think of. Even if I make a note, I'll forget it in like 5 minutes."

I totally get this pain point because I am also the same. I know how Sadra feels, it's really frustrating when you can't remember the key points of your meetings. I know how that leads to missed follow-ups and asking people, "Hey, what did we discuss?" a lot of times.

You can always ask someone to take notes for you, but that's not a long-term solution.

"(Bots joining the meeting) like that’s really disruptive cuz it just puts people back, puts people off, and they won’t share as much as easily."

I have tried and tested a number of meeting recording tools. And I can say that having a bot join the meeting is not a good idea.

He stated he has seen how people become more guarded whenever they see a "Recording Bot" join in. They will put on a mask of formality and professionalism. But from my experience, when people know they're being recorded, they hesitate to show or share raw, honest thoughts that are actually valuable in a meeting.

"I don't have to have someone sat there making notes for me."

I am sure you know the old way of taking down meeting notes right? You have to have someone sat there writing notes for you. I have seen companies waste a lot of time and money on this. From my research, having someone write everything manually and assign tasks isn't just expensive.

It's just prone to human errors and takes forever. I mean, why have someone spend 2 hours transcribing when they could be doing something even more productive?

Solution

"The fact that it's not someone joining the call... it's super, super valuable."

Sadra loved that Jamie is a bot-free AI meeting assistant. Instead of a bot joining the call (which can make people a little awkward), Jamie listens to what you are saying through your microphone.

Sadra has seen how conversations flow so much better when people aren't thinking about being recorded. People trust the process more when there's no weird bot presence. From his experience, you get way more honest and useful information this way.

This background transcription approach lets everyone (including me!) focus on what really matters instead of watching our words.

💜 Privacy concerns

Before transcribing the meeting, please understand that it is your responsibility to notify the attendees that you will be transcribing the meeting. There won't be any audio or video recordings of the meeting; only the transcription will be available.

Jamie has also taken steps to educate the user when they start to transcribe the meeting through the message box, as shown below.

"Jamie's notes are super helpful, super great.

Sadra expressed how he wanted to talk about these notes that Jamie creates. He mentioned that they are actually super helpful and super great.

He has tried so many note-taking tools out there, but these artificially generated notes really stood out to him. They are not just notes; they are absolutely easy to understand.

He can skim through the main points and catch up in seconds without having to watch the whole meeting. His team is on the same page because he can share notes quickly with them. Even when he is hopping from meeting to meeting, he doesn't miss anything important because Jamie got them all covered.

As someone who can't even remember what they ate for breakfast, let alone what happened at a meeting, I can totally relate to how much value Jamie brings to Sadra and his team.

"The tasks are pretty much on point every time."

jamie's action item extraction

One of Sadra's favourite features in Jamie is the follow-up tasks. The follow-up feature creates tasks after a meeting. So you don't have to read through messy notes to find out what to do.

Everyone on his team knows exactly what they need to do. He has saved so much time not having to write everything down manually. And nothing falls through the cracks anymore (goodbye, forgotten tasks!)

Sadra took the time to calculate that this feature alone saves him more than an hour every single day. That's like getting a whole extra day back each week.

Results

"Having clear follow-up tasks for every individual is a really big value add."

Before Jamie, Sadra was no different than most people (and me), where they usually struggle to keep track of what needed to be done after a meeting. That's what Sadra used to do every day. He was tired of flipping through notes or even try to remember action items of the meetings he had.

How Jamie helped:

  • Jamie automatically extracts those action items for him and his team.
  • He doesn’t have to manually review notes anymore.
  • Following up after meetings is now easy.

"I have the worst memory—you could think of. Even if I make a note, I’ll forget it in like 5 minutes."

I totally understand what Sadra is trying to say. Even if you are taking notes, the important information will seem to vanish from your mind.

How Jamie helped:

  • He now gets nice, organised summaries, so he can't miss anything important
  • He can focus on the conversation instead of trying to note everything down or try to remember everything.

"Probably saving me over an hour and a half per day."

I know exactly how much time goes into note-taking and follow-up, especially when you're moving from meeting to meeting all day.

How Jamie helped:

  • Jamie automatically handles all of the documentation.
  • He now saves about 80 minutes a day; that's effectively a full day's work every week!
  • He is also pretty impressed with how it helps you focus on the important stuff instead of getting bogged down in admin work.

"Not having a bot join the call is super valuable."

Traditional meeting transcription tools often required a bot to join, disrupting conversations and making participants hesitant to share freely.

How Jamie helped:

  • Jamie transcribes directly from the system audio, eliminating the need for a visible bot.
  • Created a seamless, non-intrusive meeting experience.
  • Improved conversation flow and encouraged more open discussions.

Looking Ahead

After an amazing interview with Sadra, we can say that it's truly impressive how he and his team at Ryft used Jamie in their daily lives.

What I found particularly interesting is how it started as Sadra's personal tool and eventually grew into the tool that his whole team uses for fundraising and sales. The more teammates that join Jamie at Ryft, the more efficient they become.

And I love this. Because Jamie takes care of the manual notes and follow-up, so Sadra can focus on what he is best at, whether that's closing large deals, managing his team or growing Ryft.

Just like Sadra, you could be saving an hour or more every day; all that extra time could be spent on the things that matter most.
